What is the Music Together® program?

Everyone is born a genius, and music is a powerful multi-vitamin for your baby’s brain. Make Music Together® with your child, having fun singing, dancing, drumming and playing a variety of rhythm instruments. Become a part of our community and make the most of the social, emotional and developmental benefits of early childhood music education.

This class is designed for parent and child participation. Babies under 8 months attend free with a paid sibling. There are 9 different Song Collections in the Music Together curricula. At OSM, we use each Song Collection for 16 weeks. Family materials include a songbook, CD & online music access, plus educational materials for parents.

Olenka School of Music & the Arts has helped children and families grow through music since 1993. Our philosophy is simple. Who is Music Together designed for?

Music Together® welcomes babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and their grownups in a playful mixed-age learning environment.

Does an adult attend the class?

Yes. Music Together® is designed for children and their grownups to participate, model, and learn together.

What is included in the program?

Families receive weekly class experiences plus music and educational resources that support music-making at home. Program materials are included in group-class tuition.

Can I start with a trial class?

Yes. Select “Trial” in the same enrollment form used for the 8-week and 16-week programs.

Can siblings enroll?

Yes. Sibling tuition is available for program enrollment. Babies under 8 months may attend free with a paid sibling, subject to class capacity and OSM confirmation.

Does my child need previous music experience?

No previous music experience is required. Children learn through singing, movement, rhythm activities, instrument play, listening, and participation at their own developmental level.

What if my child does not participate right away?

Some children join activities immediately, while others prefer to watch and listen first. Observation is an important part of early learning, and children are never pressured to perform.

What should we wear or bring to class?

Wear comfortable clothing that allows both the child and adult to move, sit on the floor, dance, and participate freely. OSM will confirm whether anything additional is needed.

How will my class placement be confirmed?

After registration, OSM will review your selected option and contact you to confirm availability, class day, time, location, and any additional program details.

What activities are included in class?

Classes include singing, movement, dancing, rhythm play, instrument exploration, listening activities, and playful musical interaction between children and their grownups.

How does music learning continue at home?

Families are encouraged to listen, sing, move, and play with the program music between classes. Regular music-making at home helps children build familiarity, confidence, and musical understanding.

What happens after Music Together?

As children grow, they may continue into Rhythm Kids, PreK Music ABCs with Keyboarding, Music Foundations, private lessons, and other progressive programs at OSM.
