Music is a powerful multi-vitamin for your child’s brain. This class, with a unique, progressive curriculum, is designed for preschool music beginners to explore the Universal Language of Music, together with their parents. Everyone is engaged in learning to read and write music, and creating music stories. Activities include singing, dancing, music brain games, and multi-rhythmic exercises, sparking children’s curiosity and imagination.
PreK Music ABCs is a proprietary program, only offered at OSM. There are three different Song Collections in the PreK Music ABCs curricula; we use each Song Collection for 16 weeks. Student materials include 2 songbooks, online music access, and a homework binder with coloring worksheets for family project ideas.

PreK Music ABCs with Keyboarding introduces preschool beginners to music as a language. Children and parents sing, move, read and write simple musical ideas, explore keyboard patterns, and create music stories together. The program develops early musical literacy while preparing children for Music Foundations, continued keyboard study, private lessons, ensembles, performances, and long-term music learning.

Before your first class
The program is designed for preschool-age music beginners who are ready to explore music reading, rhythm, creativity, and keyboard activities with an adult.
Yes. Adult participation is required. Parents and caregivers learn alongside their children and help continue the musical experience at home.

Yes. Select “Trial” in the same enrollment form used for the 8-week and 16-week programs.
Yes. Sibling tuition is available for the 8-week and 16-week programs. Select the sibling option in the enrollment form.
No previous music or keyboard experience is required. The program introduces musical concepts progressively through age-appropriate activities.
Some children begin participating immediately, while others need time to observe and become comfortable. Children are encouraged to join activities at their own pace.
Wear comfortable clothing that allows both the child and adult to move and participate freely. OSM will confirm which program materials should be brought to class.
After registration, OSM will review your selected option and contact you to confirm availability, class day, time, location, and any additional program details.

PreK Music ABCs is a proprietary Olenka School of Music program and is offered only at OSM.
The curriculum includes three different Song Collections. Each collection is taught over a 16-week program, allowing children to build skills progressively through new songs, musical concepts, and creative activities.
Students may continue into Music Foundations, more advanced keyboard study, private lessons, ensembles, performances, and other progressive music programs at OSM.
