Learning through rhythm and movement

Why Rhythm Kids?

Singing, dancing, drumming, and musical games help children build musical literacy while developing confidence, coordination, and creative expression.

Musical Literacy

Children learn to recognize beat, rhythm, patterns, and musical structure through active participation.

Rhythm & Coordination

Drumming, dancing, and movement activities strengthen timing, balance, and whole-body coordination.

Voice & Listening

Singing helps children explore their voices while developing listening, pitch awareness, and musical memory.

Confidence & Creativity

Music games and guided exploration encourage children to participate, experiment, and express their own musical ideas.

Music From Around the World

Songs and movement activities introduce children to different musical styles, rhythms, and cultural traditions.

Preparation for Future Study

Rhythm Kids builds a strong foundation for keyboarding, Music Foundations, private lessons, and continued music study.

Singing, dancing, drumming, and musical play

What is the Rhythm Kids program?

Explore music through singing, dancing, and drumming while your child develops musical literacy. Children explore their own personal instrument, their voice, dance to songs from around the world, learn drumming patterns, and play engaging music games.

Rhythm Kids is a strong next step for Music Together® students who are not yet ready for keyboarding. The curriculum includes 12 different Song Collections, and at OSM each collection is used for a 16-week program.

Family materials include a songbook, CD, online music access, and educational resources that help families continue learning and music-making at home.
